I'm starting to feel like it's week three of a hostage crisis. OK, not really, but I have no usable kitchen and haven't since we came back from camp. The previous owners of the house were Orthodox Jews, kept kosher, but lactose intolerant, and didn't see the need for dairy equipment. Except for a tiny, doll sized sink. We, on the other hand, eat vegetarian and dairy most of the week. So generally our dairy sink overfloweth most of the week. While we were at camp, we were having a bigger sink and dishwasher put in while we were away. Slight problem. Countertops which were taken out to put in new base cabinet and dishwasher (which is not connected yet, btw) have not been replaced. The ones that were supposed to take "2 weeks" have now been 4 weeks and they are saying "maybe next week". And to top it all off, the one sink that is still there has decided to shoot water out like a geyser when turned on. So I have NO working sinks and am doing dishes in the bathtub. Ew. Just ew.
I hate to complain b/c ba'h, I'm getting a new sink and dishwasher. But in the meantime, I'm going a bit nuts here.
